This week this country lost its last WWI Veteran. Wedesday the Conifer Community lost one of its WWII Veterans. He was a member of the Conifer VFW. Alan Kales has passed on. To his Family and Friends you have both my respect and sympathies.
From what I'm reading this morning Boehner won't let them put him in the Capitol Rotunda. A Dem and Rep sponsored from the vet's district sponsored a bill to do that, but Boehner blocked it.

Can you imagine the OUTRAGE, I tell you--OUTRAGE!!!!...if it had been Pelosi?
Condolences to the family as well... I remember going to WWI Vet meetings with my grandfather when I was little, and those guys were a walking history lesson....
Boehner should know better. A final tribute to all who answered the call of their nation to serve in that war would have been more than appropriate. I hope Reid gets it passed in the Senate so that pressure is applied to Boehner and the House to follow suit. Having the final soldier of this nation to serve in WWI laid in honor at the Rotundra should be done to honor each of the over 4 million from this nation who served it.
FWIW LJ, I am outraged and Speaker Boehner, more likely the person he's got answering phones, is going to get an earful from me - right now.
