Saw a JCSO deputy out there Friday, maybe he did it.

I contacted the JeffCo group, and here is the response I got:

The best thing to do would be to get in touch with the Sheriff's Office. You can call their main (non-emergency) number at 303-277-0211 and let them know what's happening. They will be able to instruct you on the best course of action.
