Hoot Owl - I listened to her with Pete Boyles this morning and I agree with all you say. I believe the cleaning is done on Saturdays and Sundays. Also, she said (and I believe her) that rabbits do some strange things with their poop. Look at the shiny coat & the chubbiness of the black rabbit. If it were malnourished or ill, it would show up in the coat early on.
If these rabbits were ill or mistreated with resulting serious problems, why would - and how could - Foothills Animal Shelter adopt them out so quickly????? Wouldn't the rabbits have to be healthy & in good shape to be adopted out?
Too many questions re Police and people unaware of the differences in keeping Pets compared to Livestock.
You are so far off base, it isn't even funny. Just because someone is "articulate" doesn't mean they aren't hoarders. You need to watch Hoarders on A&E. Just a few episodes will bring this to light.
I am glad that Jeff Co released some of the photos and told more of their side of the story. Seriously, those cages hadn't been cleaned in a very, very long time! Hell, the poor bunnies had no water and all ran to a clean bowl of water when they were rescued. (Even "Grand Champion Steers" are given water, so the argument that they were livestock doesn't work for me. We need to respect all life regardless of these neat little labels we want to give them.) These poor bunnies were so matted that they couldn't even sh** or pee without problems. Let me ask you would you want to live in that cage that Wily posted a photo of? Would you want to drink out of that water bowl? Oh wait, there was no water in it. If she was such a rabbit expert, why were the bunnies kept in wire cages with no flat surface for them to stand so their feet are not partially falling through the wire. This damages their feet. What are you not getting about this? 200 bunnies is waaaaay too many for one person to handle and this is evidenced in the photos. It takes an army of people at Foothills to clean the cages daily, feed them and be sure they have clean fresh water. So I really don't care what Ms Bell says, I'm not buying it.
Again, just watch Hoarders on TV and you will get a good sense of what this is really about. Of course, she is going to portray herself as the victim. They always do.
It is the animals that suffer at the hand of humans until someone steps up and puts a stop to it.
Rabbit adoptions will resume at the following hours:
Monday-Friday: 3-6 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 2-5 p.m.
Adoption fees are $25 each. A two-for-one special will be available for those interested in adopting a pair of rabbits.
Anyone who adopts one of these stolen rabbits is despicable. Why would anyone want stolen rabbits?
Those rabbits that were matted- were given to this lady- she rescued rabbits. Jeffco is shameless in the way they have distroyed this ladies business. She had 184 cages- and 4 of them were dirty- and she was going to clean them that weekend.
This lady wants her rabbits back.
For all of you who have animals- there's a $2000 reward for turning you into animal control for a violation- please post your addresses here on this thread for me.
I can use the extra money- just like the guy who turned in this rabbit breeder.

This coming from someone that posted a lengthy message on how to cook rabbits. Go back to The Ring.
Like people who hoard possessions, animal hoarders often lack insight into the problematic nature of their behavior. A common and peculiar characteristic of people who hoard animals is a persistent and powerful belief that they are providing proper care for their animals, despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Animal hoarding crosses all socioeconomic boundaries, although statistically it is more frequent in older, isolated, socioeconomically disadvantaged women. Hoarders sometimes masquerade as legitimate animal sheltering, sanctuary, or rescue groups. It is important to distinguish them from these legitimate and commendable efforts, which put the needs of animals first.
