There is also a hot spring between Glenwood Springs and Newcastle where you can go natural. It is not a commercial enterprise. A photo session for Playboy magazine was once shot there. I cannot recall the name of the hot spring but I still remember where it is located.

Did you go 'natural' LOL

Not totally. I am not foldout material. My wife could be considered to sport a staple on her belly but our daughters would not have understood. We did not feel it necessary to give them a trauma.

If you're talking about the one along South Canyon Creek, on the west side of the road... the health department did a bacteria check on it a while back and it was filled with all sorts of nasty stuff. They keep tearing it down and people keep putting it back up. The problem is the overflow is going out the top and that allows germs and nasty stuff to accumulate in the hot water in the bottom.

I wouldn't go near it any more.

A cleaner place is the outflow of Glenwood Hot Springs into the Colorado River.

That is the place.
