HBO To Make Asminov's Foundation Into A Series

Christopher Nolan's brother is the show-runner. But from people who have read the books, anyone else think there are much better choices out there in Sci-Fi to put on TV? The books are much more about ideas and science than typical HBO works like Game of Thrones with boobs and beheadings.
I will watch just to see their take and I like the books, but I think most Americans will tune it out and low ratings might prevent other SF classics from getting made.

I suspect that anyone familiar with the books will not even recognise this.
