The wife and I have a record player. It will also convert records and tapes to CDs. And like you, I have some kick ass music. But we don't have an iPod. LOL
The iPod makes it easy to take your favorites with you but I still think they sound better on the old 45's or an a.m. radio station that's miles away...
Lossless and FLAC files kick ass but they are much larger. They compressed record to tapes. Ruined everything. We will have some great conversations when I get to Bailey. I really love music and reading.
I second Moody Blues, add Firefall, Cat Stevens, Bread, America, 10CC, ELO, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Neil Young on his own, Emerson, Lake and Palmer for a start.

Sounds like a 70's guy. Some really good music without the DISCO. LOL

My mother always had her radio on...these were some of her favs too. This is #2 on my iPod playlist...it's a fun way to start the day as I hit the road.
