The Jefferson Foundation to help fundraise for Jeffco Outdoor Lab Schools
April 4, 2011, Littleton, CO ~ The Jefferson Foundation, an independent 501 c3 nonprofit organization that supports Jeffco Public Schools, has joined a coalition of community supporters seeking funding to maintain the district's Outdoor Education Laboratory Schools program in the 2011-2012 school year. Budget reductions from the state have resulted in cuts totaling $39 million to Jeffco, and the Outdoor Lab program's $1.7 million annual cost is part of a budget reduction proposal introduced by the district's Board of Education last month.
