A letter with an official looking logo from Corporate Controller Unit was sent to small LLC businesses that are licensed in the state of Colorado requesting a fee of $225.00 be sent to satisfy the State Statue of Periodic Reporting CCS Section 7-90-301 and 7-90-501 by April 15. This is a fraudulent request as reported by the Colorado Secretary of State and numerous media outlets.
According to the Secretary of State's office, CCU is located in Nevada and has pulled this scam three years ago and is making the rounds in Colorado again.
