Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I have added almost 200 Infrared photos of this Lion. They are not as good as the color video but this illustrate how this particular Lion visited this kill on a regular basis until "all the good parts" we consumed, leaving the rest to coyotes and crows.
In discussion with the owner of these photos he indicated that the Elk was a large Bull weighing 600 pounds or more. He had already shed his antlers which may have contributed to his vunerability. (However, flailing hoofs still provide a formatible defense.)
The following link will take you to the Wildlife Photo Gallery. Just click on the link "More Mountain Lion Photos" to see the new images. They get pretty boring after a while and certainly not for those with weak stomachs.
