Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I have added almost 200 Infrared photos of this Lion. They are not as good as the color video but this illustrate how this particular Lion visited this kill on a regular basis until "all the good parts" we consumed, leaving the rest to coyotes and crows.

In discussion with the owner of these photos he indicated that the Elk was a large Bull weighing 600 pounds or more. He had already shed his antlers which may have contributed to his vunerability. (However, flailing hoofs still provide a formatible defense.)
