DENVER - When the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 began, there was only one photographer working at the time at the NBC station in New York.

Jeff Scarborough, who now lives in Conifer, arrived at Ground Zero two minutes after the second plane hit.

Scarborough's job was to get a live shot up as soon as possible. Within 10 minutes, he was on the air from the scene.
