Thinking of starting to make jewelry. Not sure how to start, I want to melt and form gold, and maybe silver.
So, where does one get a cruible, and heat source? forms?
Anyhelp, PLEASE.

They have this stuff called gold clay and silver clay- you form it like you would regular clay, and then it is fired in a small kiln. It might be good place to start. I've wanted to try it myself, but the expense is a bit high for my current budget.
Look at the community college or the art center in Denver and find a beginning jewelry making class. From what I remember of it, you make your own forms from wax, place them in plaster, kiln bake the wax out and then pour int he molten metal. For local supplies, contact the gem store at Wadsworth and 5th - they seem to have some of that stuff last I was in there, and if not anymore, should be able to direct you to a local supply house.
