I always liked Columbo ---- even when I'd seen the episode.

His role in Princess Bide was also fantastic!

In any event - RIP Detective

Trivia ---- Peter Falk had a Master's in Public Administration!

With an excerpt from a 1976 episode with William Shatner as the bad guy.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

nope....I have seen every episode of Columbo, multiple times, and still never get tired of him. he was the consummate actor......you didn't see him as Peter Falk, he WAS Columbo...and he made you believe. I shall miss him and his engaging expressions.....but will hope for a revival of Columbo episodes on late night TV.

You can watch the old Columbo episodes on Netflix streaming..

Netflix has some great old TV series...

BTW, that episode with Shatner also featured a minor role by Walter Koenig, Ensign Chekov from Star Trek. I'm watching on it Netflix right now.

From this episode: Columbo and Shatner are looking at his very large video tape machine (precursor to the VCR)

Columbo: How how much would something like that cost, roughly?

Shatner: About $3,000, not counting the camera.

Columbo: I could get a new car for that.

I had to add this, because I'd completely forgotten that he was in it and how damn funny he was!
Sam Diamond quotes start at 1:35 and are sprinkled through to the end:

"Trust ya? The last time that I trusted a dame it was in Paris in 1940. She said she was going out to get a bottle of wine...2 hours later the Germans marched into France!"

"Now if one of you gentleman would be so kind as to get my lady friend a glass of cheap white wine. I'm going down the hall to find the can. I talk so much sometimes I forget to go."

"To me you look like #2, know what I mean?"
"What does he mean Ms. Skeffington."
"I'll tell you later, it's disgusting."

lol

..and one other question please...
Columbo was a fun way of doing a show, you knew the bad guy who had to watch how the Lt. was going to get the bad guy.
