Colorado Preservation on the Road

Colorado Preservation Inc has an annual On the Road program where they go somewhere in Colorado for a weekend and explore the history of that area.

I went on one of these field trips to my home town of Glenwood Springs in 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

This year's On the Road is in the South Park National Heritage area September 9-11.

It is not free; however, it is really fun to get together with a bunch of other history buffs and learn about historical areas of Colorado.
