Today, as I was going to work, on Colorado Highway 9 just North of Skier's Edge in the Blue River area (on a curve the locals call Deadman's Curve), the water from Blue River was rushing across the road at about 2 1/2 to 3 feet high.
Tonight on my way home, it looked like CDOT had put a temporary berm on one side of the road to keep the water from rushing over it. There were 7 CDOT guys standing near the culvert on one side looking like they were trying to figure out how to fix the culvert.
Right now that stretch of road is alternating one-lane with flaggers and I don't know if CDOT even knows when it'll be back to two-lane.
SL: a little late...I didn't see this until just now. Friday at 4ish when I was coming home, there was still water running over the road. Both lanes were open. Of course, that was a couple days ago, so things could have changed.
I'm curious to see what the road is like tomorrow morning.
