Planned closure because of bridge work. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 1, the ramp bridge from southbound SH 8 to northbound U.S. 285 will be closed for repairs. The ramp will remain closed until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 5. Road closure will begin August 1st, 2011 at 11:45am. Alternate route is U.S. 285 south to South Turkey Creek Road (Tiny Town), south to North Turkey Creek Road, and west to northbound U.S. 285.

Repaving, bridge repairs will snarl traffic near Morrison for two months

Those detours do not make sense. Good luck. I am packing a lunch...

Luckily it only affects Hwy 8, not US 285! Will be a pain for those gravel trucks.

It will impact 285 as it sounds like the detour is for them to enter 285 headed south (up the hill), go up to Turkey Creek and make a U-ey and come back down (NB) on 285.

Merging from hwy 8 onto 285 SB is a tricky short ramp, stay to left when coming under that overpass and let those trucks out!
