Bank of Choice - GONE

We were notified today by mail from FDIC that Bank of Choice is now a Failed Institution. Bank Midwest, N.A. now holds our money. If you have accounts there, look for your mail. There are specific actions to take to claim your deposits.

Not familiar with Bank of Choice. Was there one up here? Sorry I am out of the country a lot so I don't always keep up with banks. And it makes me wonder if it can happen to Bank of Choice, what's the chance of it happening to other banks up here where I do have an account?

I looked at them a year or so ago when they offered good interest rates. Their financial rating was not good then, so I passed. If you go to the bottom of the Denver post home page there is a link to a financial rating for all Colorado banks. Worth looking at before opening a new account.

They were a great bank for us. We have banked with them for years. They offered checking without fees, paid good interest on checking account and nice folks worked there. Nice community bank. There are lots of small banks failing.

thanks for the link, Joe
