Retractable Screen Doors

We have one door that leads to the carport and I have wanted a screen on it, but did not want a screen door. the other pull out screens that I have seen over the years were hella expensive. I just ordered one of these for $60. I thought I'd share the link in case there are others out there

We have a retractable screen door on our house in AZ.....but it rolls out from the side, Home depot had them on sale a while back......but not that cheap. I'm not sure I would like having to bend down to the floor to roll up the screen everytime I wanted to go outside, especially if I am carrying stuff.

I agree, but this door would be mostly for air circulation.

I've been looking for a retractable screen door (from the side) for quite some time now...can't find one that closes slowly so my kids won't get hurt or, conversely, destroy the door within the first week of letting it slam shut on its own. Did you like yours archer and would you recommend it?

Ours does not slam, or even close itself. As you close it it stays in whatever position you put it in. We got it at Home Depot. Often the ones on display have not been actually installed so they do kinda close themselves, check the specks on the ones they have. Once installed and adjusted they do not close themselves you have to specifically close them, not unlike a sliding screen door. My only problem with it is it goes out onto a covered carport, and without bright light it is hard to see.....I have nearly walked through it a few times when I have opened the inside door and the screen is closed.

Interesting, but not a great idea if you are trying to keep your dog inside, or other dogs/critters outside.

those screens would be the bee's knees down south with the flies and mosquitoes, but agreed, not good for controlling animal flow.

I have a hard time controlling animal flow with any screen. Brutus just walks through all of them.
