My Mom lives on one of the routes for the bike race. We have caught cyclists pissing in the yard, throwing trash in the yard, I have had them throw things at my car, they ride in the middle of the road, use BOTH lanes on the downhills, and other stupid things. Ive seen the street sweeper numerous times in the last week. It dosen't help to call the cops, they all look the same. This is a huge problem for the residents on these routes. Something has got to be done. It's getting a little out of control.

Napalm sticks to kids.
Sometimes I would love to take a big stick and knock the stupid out of people.

some really BIG INTERNATIONAL TEAMS AND RIDERS

This is a BIG DEAL in racing and both VS and NBC Sports are covering it

I'm sorry, am I supposed to be happier because there's additional traffic hazards from the camera vehicles and an increased number of spectators? Am I supposed to whoop and cheer because of the wanna-be pro cyclists that are going to be riding the same course pretending to be in the big race so they can compare their times to the pros?

It's a BIG DEAL to those that care about pro cycling. It's a pain in the ass to those of us that don't.

I don't ski nor camp, but I'm accepting of those who do every weekend. Even when the clog up 285 and I70.

Bikes have the same rights to the road as cars. There are assholes in cars and there are assholes on bikes. Learn to get along. if you don't like bikes going past your home, move to a dead end road.

They also have the same responsibiliy to avoid causing traffic impediments.

We're talking about major roads being affected here, not just residential streets.

BTW, I do live on a dead end private road... and the mountain bikers use it in spite of the private road signs as a short cut to open space.

Pro cyclists worried about sabotage in Colorado

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — Bicyclists are worried after tacks, box cutters and broken glass were found strewn along routes for two professional bike races later this month.
Jefferson County sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelley says the objects are being purposely placed on trails and roads popular with bicyclists that could trip them up or blow out their tires.
