Bring mushrooms from your yard or the woods to the Mushroom Fair for Identification

WHAT: Colorado Mycological Society hosts its Mushroom Fair.
WHEN: Sunday, Aug. 28, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Denver Botanic Gardens, 10th and York, in Mitchell Hall.
WHO: In addition to local mycologists, the mushroom fair will feature visiting mushroom expert at the Mushroom Fair will be Dr. Michael Kuo, the principal developer of MushroomExpert.Com. He is the author of Morels (2005), and 100 Edible Mushrooms (2007), and is coauthor (with Andy Methven) of 100 Cool Mushrooms (2010), all published by the University of Michigan Press.
WHY: Also at the Colorado Mycological Society's Mushroom Fair, Metro Denver residents can:
· Behold a giant display of wild mushrooms in all colors and shapes from nearby mountains;
· Have mushrooms you’ve found identified by an expert.
· View a display of common city mushrooms;
Bring the kids to the mushroom “kiddy korner;”
Photograph mushrooms in natural settings;
· See mushroom arts and crafts;
· Learn how to cook mushrooms.
· Buy mushroom books and t-shirts.
COST: The Fair is free with admission to the Gardens.
