This would be another way to promote this site. Anyone given it any thought?

Yes, we have given alot of thought to a FB page. It was in our original plans with the site. We are still deciding how to proceed. We are growing in numbers and the time may be near. We have some more research to do on the best way to set it up. If you have any thoughts, please post them. Your thoughts would help.

Thanks again for the great ideas.

I think getting up the 285 Bound page facebook should happen ASAP. It is better to get it created and fine tune it as time moves on than try to get everything perfect at the get go. Get as many of your friends to join. It can only help traffic.

Hi,

Thanks for the input. I think we will go with a fan page rather than a group page. Does anyone have any experience with the differences that they can share??

Thanks so much.

I have a lot of experience as I do the fan pages for the station. I'd be happy to put one together for this site.

If you take a look at http://www.facebook.com/DenverNews/ you'll see the fan site i did for the Web site. Notice the extra stuff up in the tabs (like Weather and the 7NEWS Team) and along the left side (like cams). Also notice the custom profile image (larger than normal). Another I did was http://www.facebook.com/247WeatherCenter . Notice the custom tabs on top and the custom stuff on the left side (like current temp and cams).

Differences:

Great Wayne. I was playing around today with it. And I read that same article. A page looks like the best way to go. Just let me know what you need from us. The page I was playing with looked pretty fun. Thanks for offering. Appreciate it a ton.

I need a tall graphic that has the logo somewhere in it. Notice my FB page has a tall photo of me but my little "box" has just my face? The little box would only show the graphic. Then I need contact info and facebook names of anyone you want as administrators. I will get the vanity URL [url=*******************[/url] ??? I assume that's what you'd want.

I suggest calling the page 285Bound.com (different from the vanity URL) to promote the site. I also need "About" info that goes under the picture and on the Info page.
