I took this class last March and Margaret is a fantastic teacher. Great sense of humor, a boatload of patience, and incredibly knowledgeable. Hope everyone who signs up for this one has a great a time as I did!

I took this class a couple of years ago. Margaret is a fantastic teacher!
Why do I spin when I can buy yarn already spun?
Spinning is very relaxing, calming, meditative, and creative.
I love spinning with different fibers. You can spin different breeds of sheep wools, alpaca, camel, yak, quivit, tencel, cotton, silk, etc... Some people even spin dog hair. Yesterday I was watching RFD-TV and they were talking about the Baskin Curly horse and how people spin their coats into fiber.

Call the store tomorrow and Diane can tell you about the dates and times. I am thinking she said it is 4 weeks (every Wed), starting September 21, but I don't remember what time.

Wildiris, wonder if we're the only ones who watch RFD-TV? :)

pacamom, I had tried a spinning class before down the hill (and definitely had not found the zen, but did come up with some creative cuss words) and just figured spinning wasn't for me. Decided to give it another go when Margaret's class was offered and what a world of difference a teacher makes! I'm sure we tested her patience considerably (although she never showed it). On the other hand, it was decided early on that Kas and I should not sit next to each other, but that happens in any class we take together so we're used to it - luckily Margaret had the sense of humor to put up with us. I forwarded this thread to Cat Crap Hill as well - if she takes it as well there will be guaranteed fun.

The way this summer has gone I haven't been able to spin much, I might take it as a refresher! (But she'd have to separate us all - maybe if we just don't make eye contact.....)
