I'm in, but will miss the first class this week. Will see you in next week's, though!

Do you have your own spinning wheel?

Yes, thanks I do. Two of them and numerous drop spindles. Can't have too many of something you don't even know how to use.

So, how is the spinning class coming along?
Haven't heard a peep out of anyone since it started!
Next Wednesday is the last class, right?

I bought some beautiful rovings at the Taos Wool Festival this past weekend and have already spun up a small ball of alpaca/merino/silk blend!
I have enough roving now to keep me busy for a little while!

We are all so busy practicing that we barely have time to post. But it's going well. I actually got the hang of it. Again.

I never knew the names of all the pieces on the spinning wheel. We had a numerous conversation about that. Then Margaret told us to get our minds out of the gutter. Again.

I'm making stuff that is resembling yarn, so progress! Pacamom started the smutty talk, Cat Crap Hill jumped right in, and I just sat in the corner giggling. Yup, totally innocent here......

rofllol What bad girls you are! (Wish I was there for that one!)

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

I've got my homework done for this week - yay! I'm feeling rather proud of myself.
