Just a little heads up that the scanners have been pretty busy this morning with all this high wind.
Please be careful out there. Keep your eyes open for any smoke and report it immediately.
My thanks today to jf1acai and shilohlady for helping over in the scanner forums today. I appreciate it so much.
I will covering for both here and DSV today so be careful out there so I don't have anything to do .
I would say yes. In winds like this...I would rather be safe than sorry.
It only takes a moment for wind like this to whip a fire a long ways.
Those who lived through the High Meadow Fire up here can tell you just how quickly things can move.
On days like today..... We will be monitoring the online scanner for Evergreen. If anyone else can help, it would greatly be appreciated.
Here is the link.
Just a little reminder that today will look a lot like our last really windy day.
Secure your patio furniture and keep an eye out for smoke. It is gonna be a bumpy ride.
Thanks Becky. We lost 3 trees in the front on Friday and had to have IREA come out and remove a branch on a line. We were without power for awhile. Not a big deal when compared with a fire though. :VeryScared: Thanks for monitoring the situation for us.

I think most of you know just how much I LOVE the white-sh*t, but I would take a 7’ dump, any day over Spring/Summer heavy windy days.
Remember that (I think it was last year) a new law past that make slash collection/fire mitigation, mileage to dump slash, $$ to dump slash, tools needed for fire mitigation are NOW tax deduction.
Check with your tax person.
