Male Black Bear in a littleton neighborhood where folks are not used to seeing bears. Sounds like a recipe for trouble, but it was really anything but.
This was a great story and I wanted to share it.
DOW came out and used a tranquilizer that only immobilizes the bear so that it stays awake to remember the episode and hopefully learn not to come back there again.
They treated the bear with gentleness and kindness and all the neighbors were in awe and happy that nothing bad happened, especially to the bear. Since he did not come after anyone, he was taken and released.
