I got this newsletter today and thought it worth passing along since it contains some good information.

I get all those on my Roku which streams Internet content to my TV.

I subscribe to Netflix and Hulu Plus (also $7.95 a month) It's way cheaper than cable. Crackle is free on my Roku but the movies have commercials.

I've heard about Roku but don't know anything about it. Going to Google now

One problem we have up here is our relatively slow 1.5mbs DSL service. You can't stream HD content, and while standard def runs OK, quality varies and there are pauses (at least for me).

I'd rather be able to download the movie to my computer, then later watch it in HD with the computer connected to the TV. Do any sites allow that? I see some like Amazon and Vudu let you rent movies for a couple of days. Does that mean you can download them, then watch after the download completes?

I download movies from Itunes and they give you a month to watch them. I think they are usually $3.99 and they have a decent selection.
