Dang its cold and damp, 50 deg. I had to fire up the wood stove and split some wood before it gets wet. Anyone else? Its fun to sit and watch the rain move over the mountain though.

Correction, I got 44 degrees now. My GF is in Denver, so I keep the furnace turned down, but don't like this rain and cool at the same time. Now I got a nice cup of hot green tea, and the fire cranking! Glad we took the motorcycle trip last week.

I hope you got that chimney maintenance done already Joe!
Mmm, green tea and a fire...I so need a working fireplace again. Sigh.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Good reminder on the chimney, I do it myself. Mine is pretty easy and I have the proper brush tool. Gettin my a$$ up on the roof to do it, well that's another thing. LOL And then I have to clean the gutters too, maybe in October.
Coffee? I'm ready for beer. Miller lite, I'm cutting down.

Poly or wire. Many stores sell wire brushes for metal chimneys but the best practice is to use poly or stainless steel. The SS brushes are expensive.
