Nothing better than.......

Sitting outside this morning, with a hot cup of coffee, listening to the elk bugling and the magpie colony. No bees, wasps, hornets. I do miss the hummingbirds, they seem to have left this week. And it's not even cold!

I still have a couple of hummers and am so glad that they are not all gone yet.

Oh I dunno - there was frost on the roof the other morning.

Pine bench positioned for PREMIUM watching of the aspens turning hues on the hill.....flannel sheets to snuggle into at the end of the
evening.......listening to the SILENCE of the 'hood....(for the most part,my neighbors respect their neighbors and have good dog "etiquette"....listening to the COUNTRY sounds of cows bellowing,crows cawing,roosters reveille,horses whinneys and goat and kids talking.....windows wide to relish the cool,clean,crisp colorado mountain air....enjoying a Miamosa on the deck,among the pines whispering in the wind,the tinkling of the wind chimes as the breeze brushes the tubulars.......a-h-h-h YES, life in the mountains,
