Late Season Fawn dropped by today

Meet Floppy-Eared Deer (picture taken 4 days ago)
She can make her ears stand up, but chooses to leave them down a lot of the time, creating a goofy look



Today, she passed through with her little one. This little thing is born about 3 months later than most.



A family unit - a buck in the middle



No tucking the fawn away today, it is on the move with mom

We had a lot of late fawns this year but wow, that is a late one. Hopefully mother and fawn have enough fat for this cold weather.
