Salida

How long is the drive from Conifer to Salida? What kinds of activities do you suggest there (i.e., dirt bike riding, swimming, tubing, rafting, etc.)

It take 2- 2 half hours depending on traffic. Rafting in Buena Vista, hot springs (Mt. Princeton/Cottonwood) I visit there quite often, Salida is more of a retirement community, small golf course, hiking, good restaurants.

I heard on the river rat that they have a Jazz Festival coming up soon. I will try to hunt down a link for you. Salida is a real nice little town.
