It's late October and it's time for the snow to return. How much snow will we get? Hard to tell since it has been so warm the last several days. I agree with Joe, even if the foothills get 8-10 inches of snow most of it will melt right away.

The weather service and their spotters measure snowfall amounts on a flat board off the ground. It is not subject to snow melt or how warm the ground is.
