Grass Fire near Boulder

BOULDER - Authorities say a grass fire near Boulder has prompted evacuations of nearby homes.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office says they have asked anyone living in a one-mile radius east of Deer Trail Road and Lee Hill Road, and South of Lee Hill through the Carriage Hills subdivision to evacuate.

The size of the fire has not been released. No injuries have been reported.

Lee Hill is north of Boulder. Same general area where they've had other fires.

11/12 12:55 p.m. - Message sent to residents
A reverse notification message was sent to 163 contacts when the evacuation was lifted at approximately 12:20 p.m. The message was:

All residents are now cleared to re-enter your homes. Please have photo ID to get through road closure at Deer Train and Green Meadow Ln.

11/12 12:40 p.m. - No active fire, EOC decreasing staff
There is no longer active fire at either location (Lee Hill and Fourmile). Both fires are expected to be contained by 2:00 p.m. Containment line is put down by firefighters to ensure the fire cannot spread.

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is decreasing staff. Office of Emergency Management staff will stay in the EOC until at least 2:00 p.m. to monitor the situation and activate additional staff if necessary.

Any further media enquiries should be directed to the Boulder County Communications Center at 303-441-4444.

11/12 12:20 p.m. - Evacuations Lifted at Lee Hill
The evacuation order for Lee Hill residents has been lifted.

11/12 12:05 p.m. - Boulder Wildfires
There are two fires in Boulder County. There is currently no threat to the City of Boulder.

First responders are on scene at both sites. The Emergency Operations Center is open and monitoring the situation, providing support as needed.

The fire at Lee Hill and Deer Trail is approximately 1-2 acres in size. An evacuation order has been issued for all residents in a one mile radius of the intersection of Deer Trail and Lee Hill. Roughly 50 firefighters are on scene right now.

The fire in Fourmile is in the 3000 block of Fourmile. The fire was last estimated to be approximately 200 feet wide. Latest reports indicate figrefighters have contained the fire
