Home weather system-- chhristmas gift

Hi
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Home Weather system. I dont know much about the options that would be best for the new hobbiest. I would imagine time, temp, barometric pressure, humidity, precip. would be important. As well as a way to record or forecast. What else should I consider? Doppler? tongue:

Best model to choose, that is challenging, yet fun. How much, can I get one for, under $500.00? It also should be easy to hook up to a computer
Thanks, Santa

Mine's not that fancy, but I really like it. We put the sensor outside underneath the deck where it doesn't get direct sunlight and the display flips between reading the outdoor and indoor temps. The moon phases are a nice touch, but the humidity is a must. It doesn't really do forecasts, I think, but it does have NOAA radio capability so maybe it does and we've just never used it - I get my forecasts from the weather reports on here and my iPhone. :)

Costco has great prices on two models.

One is around $27 (going by memory). It shows inside and outside temp and humidity, plus pressure, weather forecast, and auto time and date.

The other one runs just under $80 and adds wireless rain gauge, wind speed, and computer connection. If I remember correctly, I think the rain gauge and wind speed sensors are solar powered.
