Many of you were either involved in or have read information regarding the proposal to change the boundaries for students living in the Indian Hills Area from Conifer to Evergreen. As a result of action by the Board of Education in March 2010, transportation for Indian Hills’ students will be provided to both Evergreen and Conifer Schools during the 2010-2011 school year. The Board further requested that a report/recommendation from district staff be presented in November of 2010 on future potential boundaries for the Indian Hills community. District staff has begun their work on this project. Additionally, a committee, representative of community members from Indian Hills as well as both the Conifer and Evergreen communities, has been formed to review and advise district staff on their study. This committee will be meeting over the summer and will be ready to communicate with the entire mountain community when school begins in August.
