All those that report accidents and such do a great job so please do not take this in a bad way.

When you post that the accident is at a certain mile marker I can tell you I do not have a clue as to where it is.

If you could educate me on how to find this information out I would love it.

If it is not something that could be found out without brain damage it would sure help if we had some land marks. An example of this is the accident is at mile maker XYZ which is about 2 miles from Pine Junction.

Again you guys do a WONDERFUL job I just do not know mile markers the accident could be in Fairplay or it could be in Conifer for all I know.

Thanks

Hey Lady!

There are 2 Stickies at the top of the Road Scanner forum which list the MM locations.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

When there are multiple incidents, which we are posting on multiple forums, and we are also checking multiple sources for information, we just don't have time to look up the mm information and include it in the posts.

We try to do so when we have the time.

Thank you so much this is a big help!!!

We have people on the road to Denver right now calling us on a cell and I did not know what to tell them except the TV news said that 285 was closed at Morrison.

Maybe the scanner people could add this link to their signature as I am sure there will be others that have no idea.

Yeppers....You can now click on our sig line and go directly to the mile marker locations.
Thx

We are constantly striving to do a better job at providing the community with critical information you need to avoid hardship, help you plan your drive or let you know if there is a situation near you that could possibly affect you.
We debrief each other after every incident such as yesterdays snow storm. We look for ways to improve and we critique what we could have done better. Your suggestions are a huge help as the information we provide is there to help YOU.

During yesterdays snow storm, the team provided information on 12 accidents in this thread.

Another source for this information covered 7 of those accidents.
In 5 or the duplicated accidents covered, the team provided that information first with one incident be reported as much as 49 minutes earlier.
Additional information about road closures, chain laws and accident alerts was provided in a more general thread dedicated to helping you plan your day.

I share this information not to pat anyone on the back but to draw attention to the quality of information that can be found at 285bound.com
Thank you to the owner and all the volunteers who work to make 285bound a valuable resource for this community.

If the person or persons who post the accident reports on these boards would put those two links in their signature, then it would be so convenient that tears would come to our eyes.
