National guard had to help.
Saw on FB a guy was shoveling and was working his way towards the road, and the guard was shoveling towards his home, they met and the guy was like Hey fancy meeting you this way.
I got to go to Alaska for work many moons ago and in Seward they had pictures posted of a big snow that happened I believe in the 50's and it was un-real this has got to be close to the same thing.
We took the hiway to the train which except by plane or boat the only way to get to Seward and I was just in AAAAHHHHH on the beauty of this area.
I can't even imagine this much snow we got 7 1/2 feet in the big snow storm and that was plenty.
Imagine having to contact a manufacturer and place an order because there are no shovels to be had anywhere near by! It seems ironic to me but even in Alaska, who plans on 15 feet of snow all at once?
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Interesting snow accumulation. Where do you put it?
I also can't help but reflect on the possible frequency of such snow accumulations during the ice ages. Now, I do wish we'd get another significant snowfall here. I'm anxious to have one.
