Does anyone out there know anything about antique steamer trunks?

A customer kindly gave us a Hawley Murphy Steamer trunk recently and I wanted to find out what I could about restoring it properly.

There is a site you can do research on trunkshop or something like that. I sold one a few years back did my research there.
I looked here http://www.brettunsvillage.com/trunks/h ... kersg.html for you but found no Hawley Murphy brand. Only an H M which is believed to be Herckert & Meisel.

The Hawley Murphy may be the latch manufacturer.
There is also a Pritchard Harrison sticker on the inside. The previous owner acquired it from the old Fairplay Hotel.
