Heads up
We left our bird feeders out last night, this morning we found the entire pole and all the feeders scattered on the ground bleow the deck. It was to high and sturdy, for the racoons to have done it, bolts holding the pole were ripped from the railing.
I don't want another bear to die, so we will bring in the feeders every night.
I am on KVE (lower KV / Conifer Mtn) and saw a bear hanging by our swingset at 1pm. It ran when the dog barked from our deck. First bear I have ever seen in 4 years here.
There are a lot that hang out by my house on Kings Valley West. There was a cub that walked in front of my truck last night on Florence and Bear Park. Never saw the mother. He climbed a tree next to the road. I shined a flashlight on him and he decided that was enough so he climed down and ran South.
