Please consider signing this petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/mpaa-don-t-let-the-bullies-win-give-bully-a-pg-13-instead-of-an-r-rating?utm_medium=email&utm_source=action_alert There's a new movie out called "Bully". It got an "R" rating because apparently some of the bullies in the movie use some foul language. Regardless, this movie should be seen by virtually all teens. If the rating is lowered to a "PG-13", that could happen. Thanks for considering it.

Should teachers, administrators, and bus drivers be armed and trained in the use of deadly force? Here's an audio of a radio program in Atlanta, GA advocating that would be the only way to eliminate these acts of school violence: http://armedamericanradio.org/2012/03/3-4-2012-hour-1/ Thoughts?

Here's a video called "It can happen here" produced by Penn State University. It features interviews and commentary from several people involved at Platte Canyon High School and Columbine High School, along with other experts in the field: http://www.arl.psu.edu/WPSTC/schools.php

One of the things I'm seeing a lot of is that posters on a whole bunch of message boards and social networks talk about how they've been bullied at one time or another in their lives, or how their children or grandchildren have been bullied. Remedies to these incidents vary widely.

I'd like to also open a discussion on whether or not any of US have ever been guilty of bullying someone ourselves and how it made us feel at the time. No need to "confess" what the incident involved if you so choose.

I'll start - I'm guilty of bullying my older brother, especially in high school. He was a musician, he was very intelligent, very thin, nonathletic, and he had a "wit" about him that definitely stood out. I, on the other hand, looked at myself as being more of an athlete. Because he didn't necessarily "fit in" with the rest of the crowd, he was the subject of much derision, not only from me. The thing I now feel most guilty about is of not defending him when others made fun of him. How did that make me feel? Peer pressure is a powerful thing. I felt horrible, but wasn't willing to stand up for him and defend him. I must now live with that because he's gone, and I can't even tell him how sorry I am about it.

Found this image in one of my random surfs on the Internet. In just one picture, this image presents a concept/idea each of us can do:

In a previous post, I quoted an individual who suggested we ask ourselves the question, " "WHAT DOES PEACE MEAN TO ME?" I believe we must all answer this question for ourselves because each of us has our own interpretation of what it means. There are so many different webpages out there that talk about PEACE, a lot of quotes of famous people like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, John F. Kennedy, etc., and a lot of individual interpretations, as well. This topic is also dedicated to providing an opportunity for each of us to give our own interpretation of PEACE - perhaps we can learn something from each other...... PEACE
