My mother's parents lived in Hollywood- and we would visit them every Sunday when I was in elementary school. Got to know the area pretty well and ran into many famous people - they were just a few blocks away from Hollywood Blvd, next to many film production houses. My favorite was running into Cheech and Chong on the sidewalk one day.
I have a cousin who lives on Hwy 1 in Malibu- she is an actress and knows many TV and film people. Can't go out to eat there without seeing someone in the film business. Ran into Billy Ray Cyrus while eating lunch several times. Used to see Jonny Carson out on the beach there when I was a kid.
Here in Denver- I was eating lunch one day in the Tabor Food Court when I heard a commotion and saw someone with media camera's all around him. I hurried up and threw my trash in the can and walked away - over to one side to get away from the frenzy- only to be spotted by the guy- he started walking straight towards me. Why he picked me I don't know - I was trying to avoid him - maybe because I was wearing a suit. It was Steve Forbes when he was running for president.
He walked straight up to me - introduced himself and started a conservation with me - with all the damn media camera's in my face. I made the news that night- somthing I had no intention of doing.
I saw John Elway at the Little Bear in Evergreen about 4 years ago. Didn't really meet him, it was funny though he was just standing by the bar with friends and no one bothered him.
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
Haven't actually met one but I remember as a teenage being next to Liberace at a Walgreens - he was looking at hair color - had the big diamond piano ring on.
Ironically, I was about 17, flying back with my family from Maui and met Gallagher at the airport. He was just sitting alone by himself. No one else knew who he was.
Hopefully he recovers fully from his current health crisis. That is all I got, don't pursue celebrities like some, don't even have any sports autogrpahs.
