Closer to home the bald eagles have been spotted along the North Fork of the South Platte River along 285 and 126 (Pine Grove). Check the cottonwoods. If you find their nest please let us know. We see the eagles but not their nest. Thanks!

Thanks MEI - looks like time for a drive to 11 mile.

Check out Jewel and her two bear cubs who are active right now while waiting for the adult eagle to move and show her eaglets. http://www.bear.org/livecams/jewel-den-cam.php

Received an email with pix from a friend - many American white pelicans arrived yesterday at Cherry Creek State Park.

MEI any particular place at 11 mile for the eagles? We drove through on our way to do some rock climbing. Maybe we weren't looking in the right places. Thanks.

We were at the south end of the lake in the morning, there were several sitting up on the cliffs.
Then we relocated to the boat ramp cove nest to Larry's and had 2 sitting on the rocks, when the wind would come they spread their wings and sort of hoped up and just glided in place effortlessly.
Reall neat, shoulda took the camera with me, hooked a 4'+ pike but alas he broke the line.
Couple of other guys said that the eagles stole their fish a few weeks back,,, lol , we never put ours on the ice.
