Seems like a couple problems reported already with the Ipad3. The new display is supposed to be sharp, but draws more power and they are hot to the touch according to reports. Also complaints about poor WiFi reception. Wonder if Apple rushed this out too fast?

Heat is a problem with laptops, I can't use mine wearing shorts in the summer.

Any Apple users out there?

Yes, but without the haptic feedback or a USB port, it wasn't worth it to me to upgrade my lovely iPad2 to an iPad3. I hadn't heard about the problems with it though, so I'm doubly glad to keep mine. I was in the Apple store this week for a couple of work sessions and it wasn't more crowded than usual but the salespeople/techs said that the iPads have been flying out the door.

So are they still selling the Ipad2? Maybe a good time to get a slightly used one cheap. I want one for travel on the motorcycle.

I can't tell the difference in the screen display and the iPad 3 is noticeably heavier on the wrist. And yes, it gets hot on the bottom. The only reason I upgraded is it was free since I bought my iPad 2 about a month before the 3 was announced.

When I was at the Apple store for 15 minutes I saw probably 5 people walk out with new iPad purchases. They were doing a brisk business.

If you buy used, buy from the Apple store. The refurbished ones have new batteries and new cases.
