Someone mentioned Denver Water's liability earlier. Since it is their property, I'm assuming they gave permission for the forest service to do the burn. Do they then have some financial responsibility because of that?

Gramma, they'd enjoy the same damages cap. And you can be sure they'd defend their position by claiming (and rightly so) that they relied on the appropriate use of whatever permits they issued.

Do you know that for fact, or are you assuming since they're a governmental agency? I thought the $600,000 cap was for the State.
