That door stop would be removed and placed elsewhere in the house, like behind a closet door!
The abandoned kitty that I took in during college was a bit of a slow learner. She used to sit outside my bedroom door and meow loudly and incessantly for an hour before it was time for me to get up and feed her before going to class (before you jump my &@#! about being a noon-time riser, I was a science major - all our classes were from 8-11am so the 4 hour labs could be scheduled in the afternoon). My roommate was extraordinarily patient, but she wondered why I didn't just let her in so she'd be quiet. I knew I'd get no rest if she was in my room.
She eventually learned 3/4 of the way through the year that she'd get fed when I got up so meowing was ineffective and unnecessary. Cats just take longer to train than dogs.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
