have a HUGE black bear, my biologist freind said from the pics and the paw measurements is a 650 to 750#er.
He has been here for years. I have had coffee with him on the deck, he has helped with the garden, and has once tried to enter the shop. All of course with me not knowing until the last second and then retreating respectfully, exit stage let/right whatever.

The coffee on the deck was really relaxing as I came out of the house admiring another sunrise (Great Spirit only gives you so many so see as many as you can) he was sitting on the front part of the deck looking across the valley and seemingly admiring the sunrise as well. I retreated back into the house and he looked at me as if to say "nice view beautiful day I am leaving now so enjoy".

lol How did he help with the garden? Eat some yummies? Left deposits?

A friend who has a garden near Bailey estates, say the bear rototills her garden hunting for roots.

Wondering if it isn't the one and same that shows up on the outskirts of Woodside. A friend was commenting that she walked down the steps (inside) from the second level and there was the biggest black bear she has ever seen on its back legs looking in the full length window on her deck. Scared her silly. Think he was surprised initially by her reaction too as he came down on all fours. Didn't leave right away. Sat on the deck for a few and then sauntered off.

Such a short trek as the crow flies through the Magness property from the Harris Park area.

I think it's been shown they pop up mostly around waterways - probably followed the irrigation canal that ends up in WaterWorld.
