For the last few days on walks along the stream I have seen beaver tracks.

Isn't it early for beaver to be out? Don't see any sign of chewed trees or lodge. Maybe exploring for future lodge? Or just eating and wandering back upstream?

This year we have also seen a golden eagle fly over the stream several times. Not much in the way of fish but perhaps beavers are on the menu?

Beaver don't hibernate so it's not unusual to find tracks and sign year round.

In the meanwhile, my inner 14 year old has almost bit off the end of my tongue resisting the urge to post an R rated joke!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Yes until it went on private property. Water moving too fast in this area to have a lodge. So it had to be a couple miles upstream at least.

If you want to check the flatter portions for a lodge, let me know. I know some of the owners.

Some people who apparently know you from elsewhere told me you two are related. Is what they are saying true? The reason I'm asking is I can't figure out why you are posting to each other on here when you could just, you know, talk to each other.

If you'd rather not answer, I understand.

Must have talked to some people who don't know what they are talking about. And I can pretty much guess who some of them are. I don't know nor have I met anyone from this board that I know of.

But to answer your question, no we are not related. And so that we don't keep everyone guessing, we both volunteer out of the country in different Latin American countries and a family member knows her family member. We knew of each other but hadn't met up until more recently. And even now, I am working on a project in my spare time, replacing a wood deck with a metal one and doing wildfire mitigation or a fire watch when it is windy in the Bailey area for a friend who sponsors us and she is working on a project for her Aunt, stuff for her Mom who lives nearby or other volunteer work in the area. Our paths just don't cross that frequently.

And so that it doesnt get even more confusing there are some others who will be rotating in from their assignments out of the country and I hope to introduce them to this website and to some of the businesses who advertise on this website. More as a thanks to SC/AG for having the website.

Several of us have been trained in survival methods and how to deal with disasters (in foreign countries mostly where we are volunteering). I am hoping they might be willing to provide some input.

Maybe I should have posted this in an Intro thread if there is one. Oh well.

It cracks me up why anyone would be interested and what difference it makes.
