WOW! That wave was huge! I have never really surfed and probably won't be doing it later in life but in my estimation, taking on a wave that size has to require brass testicles (maybe even an extra one)!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles
I think this is off of Portugal... This type of tow in surfing was pioneered by a couple of guys in Hawaii, Dave Doerner and Laird Hamilton. No doubt it takes a pair, I have taken off on 12'+ hurricane swell off of Palm Beach when I was younger and 12' looks huge... I could only imagine what 90' looks like from the surfboard!!
