RUMOR ALERT: There is a rumor spreading around that ADT is charging $300 as a cancellation policy for those who lost their homes. ADT says this is NOT TRUE. They are working with customers on a one-on-one basis, but it's not true that they are charging a cancellation fee to people who lost their homes.

I do not know why the news is publicly posting addresses of the lost homes in these fires. Is it to let the home owners know if their home is gone. It seems like a security risk to me.

Trains often start fires. I remember one a couple of years ago off of Hwy 93 heading to Boulder.

Family friend told us their insurance company provides $30/day to cover their evacuation
(their home is likely fine, thank goodness).

Not sure what an insurance company thinks a family can do on $30/day --- but that's darn near close to extortion.
