We have, what looks to be a yearling hanging out in the neighborhood. People are seeing it everyday trying to get into bird feeders. This morning it was below our deck shaking a small aspen in which we have a bird feeder. Twice my neighbor has chased it out of a tree it was climbing trying to get on their deck. We need to make the neighborhood uncomfortable and unwelcome for the bear before he gets into real trouble. Bring in your feeders, watch you trash, don't leave "dog" ie fox food out for the foxes.
He is still around.
I was walking Abby this morning when I saw him crossing the street below out street. When I got to the bottom of our driveway, I saw him hanging out near the open garage door. I was going to let him be for a bit hoping my wife would get a chance to see him. That is until I heard him knock over the trash bin, remember I was just walking the dog so I had left the garage open. At that point I charged up the driveway, running right at the bear, yelling, waving my arms, Abby joined in barking and growling. I'm sure it was quite the scene. Last I saw the bear he was heading on up the hill still running.

lol Not sure that would work for everyone. Thanks for the friendly reminder to bring in feeders, trash, etc. Don't want bears to feel comfortable around homes.

He looks like he's VERY comfortable around homes.
Right after I took the picture he sat down on the railing and gave himself a good scratch, then he slowly wandered off the deck.
I saw him this afternoon, about 4pm, just walking up the road in broad daylight...And this morning, when I went out, my closed trashcan out front had been opened and all of the contents were all over the driveway.
