There's a delicious sounding tapas & wine pairing dinner tomorrow night at Aspen Peak Cellars and there are still tables available. We're going tomorrow if anyone wants to join us!! (Well, I'll be late, as I have to attend the Elk Creek Fire Dept BOD Meeting first, but I hope to be there by 7:30). They're also releasing their Zinfandel that night!
Menu:
Spicy salmon crostini on a bed of Summer greens, paired w/Chardonnay
Coffee rubbed lamb chops with spaetzle, paired w/Zinfandel
Julie's key lime pie, paired w/Glacier White
Dinner starts at 6pm, Aspen Peak Cellars, 12414 US Hwy 285, Conifer. Cost is $25/person (there is a coupon available for $5 off too, if you sweet talk me ) :jk2: lol

"The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." attributed to Margaret Thatcher
"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson
It was delicious, thank you for asking! The salmon was incredible, I told Marcel that he had to add it to the menu. Hubby tried to convince me that the key lime pie was bad and he would sacrifice and eat it for me (this coming from a guy who Hates anything tart and detests key lime pies!).
Marcel was so sweet too - I was late getting there since I was videotaping the Elk Creek Fire Dept BOD Meeting, but he kept my food warm and joined me, hubby, and my parents out on the patio at the end of the night (you can't beat that customer service). The newly bottled Zinfandel is awesome - I'm going to stop down at the winery on Saturday and buy a case (he only bottled one barrel of it ~300 bottles).
I think he's having another acoustic musician at the winery in Bailey on Saturday too. Last week's performer rocked (hanging out in the "garage" with the door open, listening to the rain, enjoying wine, cheese, and locally-made salsa while listening to good music made for a perfect afternoon)! He had a 12 string guitar and nailed Stairway to Heaven (much to my daughter's dismay, he did not know any Katy Perry). lol If you don't have any other plans, go hang out.
