Jeffco Fire Ban Lifted, but Restrictions in Place

14 Jul 2012 10:17 #1 by ElkCreekFireDepartment
The message was: Due to recent rainfall and the reduced threat of fire conditions, the fire ban in unincorporated Jeffco will be lifted, and fire restrictions will take effect July 12, 2012, at 12:00 P.M.

But people have a habit of reading only the head line and maybe the first part of these announcements. Yes, the Fire Ban has been lifted, but that is only part of the message: Fire Restrictions have been put into place, and Jeffco Sheriffs Officers will still write you a $600 ticket if you violate those restrictions.

Be sure you know the rules.
